  • Notification of Dispensary Closure

    On Tuesday 19th September the Dispensary and prescription telephone line will be closed 1pm - 2pm for staff training.

    We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

     
  • Upcoming Surgery Closure

    Please note the surgery will be closed for a Training Afternoon on: 

    Wednesday 11th October 2017 from 1pm.

    The surgery will reopen as usual the next day, Thursday 12th October 2017 from 8am.

    If you require urgent healthcare advice when the surgery is closed you should call 111, the  NHS 111 service.

    If you have a life-threatening emergency please call 999.

     

     
  • Dispensary Opening Times

    Please be aware the Dispensary is not open on a Saturday morning when the Surgery is running a Saturday morning clinic.

    The Dispensary hours are Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 6pm.

     
  • Who is my named GP?

    All Patients haven been allocated a named GP who is responsible for the Patient's overall care.

    Please contact the surgery if you would like to know the name of your GP.

    Although you have a named GP, you can still make appointments with any of our doctors.

     If you wish you can also ask to change your named GP and we would aim to accommodate this request wherever possible.

     
  • Online services for 11-16 year olds

    Unfortunately for operational reasons, online services will not be available to patients aged between 11-16 years.

Antenatal Clinic / Maternity Services

The Community Midwife attends the surgery once a week on a Thursday afternoon and runs the following appointment based clinic:

Antenatal Clinic 1.30pm - 4.15pm


To make your initial appointment with the Midwife you will need to self-refer using the Maternity Self-Referral Form which can be found at the Maternity Unit Web Pages, on the Harrogate District Hospital web site or you can click here.

 

The Midwife runs the following drop-in clinics in the area:

Tuesday      3.00pm - 4.30pm Leon Smallwood Unit - Ripon Hospital
Wednesday 3.30pm - 4.00pm Manor Road Children's Centre - Knaresborough
Friday         9.15am - 10.30am Antenatal clinic - Ripon Hospital

 

 

Diabetic

This clinic is run twice a month on Monday afternoons.
Patients will be seen by either; Dr Eisner, Dr Rider or Sister Karen Jones, and then maybe seen by a Dietician and a Podiatrist.

 

Coil Fitting

This clinic is held on a Wednesday morning with Dr Day.

 

Hearing Aid

This drop-in clinic is run on the 1st Friday of every month between 1.30pm to 2.30pm.

 

Minor Illness

The clinic is run by Prescribing Nurse Diane Gallon with the support of a Doctor.  Diane has  undertaken additional training through the University of York and is able to prescribe some medications.  Diane can see patients most mornings - on a book-on-day / appointment basis only - for the following range of minor illnesses:-

  • Cough
  • Chest infection
  • Ear infection
  • Eye problems
  • Rashes
  • Skin infection
  • Sore throat
  • Temperature
  • Urine infection
  • and general advice 

 

Minor Surgery

Booked by arrangement with your doctor.  This clinic is run on a Wednesday and Thursday afternoon with Dr Rees or Dr Webster respectively.
