  • CHANGES TO THE REPEAT PRESCRIPTION TELEPHONE SERVICE 

    From Monday 12th November 2018 access to the repeat prescription telephone service will be available from:

    12.30pm to 3pm

    Monday - Friday

    You can still order your repeat medications in person, on-line, through the App or via the post.

     
  • Dispensary Opening Times

    Please be aware the Dispensary is not open on a Saturday morning when the Surgery is running a Saturday morning clinic.

    The Dispensary hours are Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 6pm.

  • Who is my named GP?

    All Patients haven been allocated a named GP who is responsible for the Patient's overall care.

    Please contact the surgery if you would like to know the name of your GP.

    Although you have a named GP, you can still make appointments with any of our doctors.

     If you wish you can also ask to change your named GP and we would aim to accommodate this request wherever possible.

     
  • Online services for 11-16 year olds

    Unfortunately for operational reasons, online services will not be available to patients aged between 11-16 years.

    TPP have released a SystmOnline app, available currently for the IOS platform, which offers patients much of the same functionality as the SystmOnline website, but optimised for smartphones.

Antenatal Clinic / Maternity Services

To arrange your first contact / initial booking-in appointment with the Midwife you will need to self-refer to the Maternity Services Unit based at Harrogate District Hospital using the maternity self-referral form.

Visit the  Maternity Services Web Page where you will be able to download and complete the self-referral form.

Please complete the self-referral form as soon as you know you are pregnant to enable the Midwives to make your appointments for scans and screening tests within the appropriate timescale.

 

The community-based Midwife attends the surgery once a week on a Thursday morning and runs the following appointment based clinic:

Antenatal Clinic 9.00am - 11.45am

  

The Midwife runs the following drop-in clinics in the area:

Tuesday      3.00pm - 4.30pm Leon Smallwood Unit - Ripon Hospital
Wednesday 3.30pm - 4.00pm Manor Road Children's Centre - Knaresborough
Friday         9.15am - 10.30am Antenatal clinic - Ripon Hospital

 

 

Coil Fitting

This clinic is held on a Wednesday and Friday morning with Dr Day.

 

Hearing Aid

This drop-in clinic is run on the 1st Friday of every month between 1.30pm to 2.30pm.

 

Minor Illness

The clinic is run by Prescribing Nurse Diane Gallon with the support of a Doctor.  Diane has  undertaken additional training through the University of York and is able to prescribe some medications.  Diane can see patients most mornings - on a book-on-day / appointment basis only - for the following range of minor illnesses:-

  • Cough
  • Chest infection
  • Ear infection
  • Eye problems
  • Rashes
  • Skin infection
  • Sore throat
  • Temperature
  • Urine infection
  • and general advice 

 

Minor Surgery

Booked by arrangement with your doctor.  This clinic is run on a Wednesday and Thursday afternoon with Dr Rees or Dr Webster respectively.
