How does sharing information in your medical records help the NHS to provide better care?

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

A modern information system has been developed, which will make increased use of information from medical records with the intention of improving health services. The system is being delivered by the Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) and NHS England on behalf of the NHS.

It is important that you read the leaflet How information about you helps us to provide better care (pdf file) so that you understand how information in medical records can be used to improve the way that healthcare is delivered.  A copy of the leaflet is also available in the surgery.

For more information, including a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs), please go to the website at www.nhs.uk/caredata.

You can also get further information from the website at www.hscic.gov.uk.

Or you can speak Miss Wendy Downson, Practice Manager on 01423 322309.
